Grass Shadow–
My! was Saturday ever cold! A skiff of snow, but the wind! Oh! My! The Wind! Right off the North Pole and heavy/hard.
I’m sure it’s heading across the States for others to feel the chill. 😦
Gradually we started warming up (a bit), thankfully!
Your friend on a western Colorado farm.

Yesterday was gorgeous & warmish.
Must mean that a storm is coming this way.
Is it corn pickin’ day? Hope so!

Yes the wind howled here a couple of days, I entertained myself by watching the tops of the trees sway and some dog gone leaves going through the yard.

It always makes my heart glad to see the wind pick up the leaves and push them off the grass!! Of course they get stuck on the bushes, and I have to get them later, but at least they are off the lawn!

Hard for me to imagine such cold. Our northerlies are hot and dry and usually full of red dust from the desert heart of the country. A promising huge bank of black cloud has just rumbled and flashed…. and disappeared again. It’s 8pm and still 80°F out there.

Our water storages are very low, so even if the farmers grumble about delays to getting the last of the crop in, we’ll need it for the forthcoming months…
