While we were walking about after our amazing two days of very cold rain (and some snow) then a huge killing freeze.
We saw a Glistening Sight! A warning—of colder, much colder weather to come.
Isn’t it beautiful!!?

Too wet to find out. Raining here

So how is the corn drying down? Be nice to get it all in before it gets too nasty. My one time father in law in Iowa grew seed corn, and it must mature earlier, because I helped out a few times picking it and it always was in September and not too cold.

Raining. We wait. Maybe in a week or so after the rain leaves.

Well, rain is always welcome, just sometimes it just doesn’t come at the right time.

That’s a beautiful sky, but I could get along fine without the colder weather.
