Since all work and no play make Terry and me EXHAUSTED!!! We decided to go somewhere close (a day-trip, if you will) once a week. This time we headed to Collbran, Colorado, by the route of Grand Mesa. (Click on the blue links to learn more)
The ski resort on Grand Mesa
Still snow up there on the rims
From Collburn, we turned toward Vega State Park. Then we turned onto a side road heading the back way to Silt, Colorado
Yep, we went by this
Back roads all the way—gravel part of the way
Then on to Silt, and after that
To Rifle, Colorado, where we stopped for a late lunch at Dickey’s Barbecue. YUM!
Then home again, home again…ready to take on the work.
Your friend on a western Colorado farm,
Linda

That was quite the trip!

I think you and Terry made a wise decision to take day trips on a weekly basis. I look forward to hearing about your future trips. This trip was fabulous.

We’ve found it’s so necessary to rest out brains and bodies
