Remember this? The Lone Porcupine quill that stabbed me — Yep, that one.
It became infected. Then caused me to head to the ER. The infection moved to both feet until I couldn’t even walk.
What a mess! But, gradually, with antibiotics and pain meds, I can walk again, and the swelling has started to go down.
Sish!
Whoever would get stabbed by a lone quill? What a mess.
Your friend on a western Colorado farm
Linda

Glad to hear you are getting better. I was concerned when you first posted about the quill.

Quill stabbing is no picnic! We have never actually even seen a quill, but yikes! Clearly pretty deadly when they jump out and stab a person! Thank goodness you got it attended to and are on the road to recovery!
Sloppy kisses,

Since it was a lone quill. Who knows how long it had laid in the dirt
