On the Hot and Very Still Farm — Thursday, September 3, 2026

On a hot and still afternoon, Boo and I drove over to check on the seeds I put out for all the wild creatures who live with us.

The earth was humming with insects, the deer fly miserable, and the stinging, biting horse flies were everywhere

But —- that was all worth it—yes, it was!

The world is full of beauty, everywhere.  It truly is!

From my world to your heart,

Linda

  1. Deer flies, hate ’em. Take a plastic bucket, cover it with a black plastic trash bag and spray it with tanglefoot or something similar. Hang it where the little nasties are the worst, it’s a great fly trap, my horses appreciate it.
