Needing a Break —- Monday, October 12, 2026

We decided to drive up and see how low Blue Mesa Reservoir is — this is where we get our irrigation water (and what helps fill Lake Powell —- therefore, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and California)

This is terribly sad.  It’s heartbreaking really.

They are saying we are in need of five years of really heavy, deep snows.  Terry says— yes, and five years of NOT using the water so it can actually fill up the reservoirs.

Gosh. It’s all so sad and scary.

Here are prayers for moisture.  Lots and lots of moisture.

For everyone and everything and all things.

From my world to your heart!  May Blessings Abound for all.

Linda

  1. Oh my. 😪 That is heartbreaking. We’ve seen it low before, but this is way beyond that. I’ve seen a couple photos of people walking way out towards the middle – no water. And apparently you can see the old town. I’ll have to see if my rain stick can be a snow stick.

  2. Java Bean: “Ayyy, that water level is way down for sure! Our Dada says there’s a reservoir back in New York called Delta Lake and when it gets really low you can see where the town of Delta used to be, with the foundations and roads and such. Kind of spooky, isn’t it?”
