The Adventures of Boo Berry Betty, TLC Cai-Cai, and Mr. Hobbs on Friday—-June Came Calling, Friday, June 5, 2026 Chapter Two

“What’s THAT!!!!?” Hobbie meowed at me.

“GRRRRR,”  TLC crouched down into attack mode.

“What?  What?  I don’t see anything.  What are you —

OH! DOGS!!  You are hearing DOGS!  Lots and lots of dogs!”  I answered.

“At least six!” Hobbie counted.

“Yes!” growled TLC. “Six dogs on the farm! Six dogs altogether in a pack!  Six dogs Who Do Not Belong here!!!”

“Oh, gosh,”  I shuddered. “What do we do?”

“We GO GET’EM!!!” TLC announced.

“Okay, lead the way,” Hobbie commanded.  “Come on, Boo, you’re a dog, and you need to be part and parcel of protecting the farm.”  Hobbie nudged me with his right front paw.

“But, but!  What about MOM?!  My job is to be with Mom all the time, no matter what!”

TLC looked at me with a withering stare…”This IS protecting MOM!!!  And it’s protecting Dad! AND THE FARM!!!  Get yourself in gear and let’s GO!!!”

So off we went.  Down the gated pipe, next to the house and the new alfalfa field, up the in-between road, then over the bridge past the freshly mown two-year-old alfalfa field to the equipment area.

“SHHHH”, Hobbie stopped and hunkered down by the land plane (leveler to some people),  “Get over here,” he waved with his paw… “Someone or something is coming.”

TLC and I slipped in right behind Hobbie, each of us taking a different spot under the leveler.

“What Now?” I whispered.

“SHHHHHHHHHH,” TLC reached over and put his paw on my nose…”SHHHHHHHH, something is coming.  SHHHH”

The Adventures of Boo Berry Betty, TLC Cai-Cai, and Mr. Hobbs on Friday—-June Came Calling, Friday, May 29, 2026 Chapter One

Here, it is the last tiny bit of May.

TLC, Hobbs, and I, Boo Berry, are getting a tad tired of the bad wind we keep having.  We all still go outside, and we hang out for long periods of time, but the WIND!!!

It’s a rushing roaring bit of, well, wind, and dirt, and sticks, and tiny little gravel, and WEEDS!

Mom says she can handle the wind; it’s all the trash that comes with it.  Makes a mess in the irrigation water.  That’s when Mom and Dad and I (and sometimes the cats if we are changing water close to home) all go out and clean out the trash.

The rest of the time, all the work around this place is up to Dad and Mom.  We Furkids don’t do human work.  But we DO do furkid work!

So, since it has been a long time since you heard a good story from one of us, I decided it was time to tell you one!

Are you ready—?

Okay.

Keep read’n, and I will tell you a story.  A story about a pack of wild dogs that have slipped onto our farm.
