Along the way I saw….
Big birds eating corn in the corn field, are they cranes? Are they Blue Herons? They kept moving away from me, I wonder why?
The sun shinning through the clouds on Eckert and Cedaredge -these are little towns at the base of Grand Mesa, the largest flat top mountain in America.
And a group of cattails which took up living quarters on the canal bank.
This is not a long walk, as some of you have, but it does give you an idea of where we live. Thanks for visiting!

Lovely Photos! Thanks for taking us along on your walk, I enjoyed it! 🙂

A lovely place to live! I enjoyed seeing it. We lived in Aurora for six months about thirty years ago, and loved it!

Thank you so much for sharing the photos. Colorado is absolutely one of the most beautiful places on earth and I love the beautiful far range views. I’ve been trying to convince Mountain Man we need to move there but until then I’ll enjoy Colorado through your blog.

They do indeed look like cranes- sandhill cranes, I think, but can’t see them clearly enough to be sure. Sandhill cranes have a patch of red on the top of their heads and can be extremely skittsh- that would explain why they kept walking away from you.
Fabulous pictures!
