Terry and Misty are taking what breaks they can and trying to get the farming done.
They finally finished leveling.
Misty finished marking out the alfalfa, while Tallen spent time with Grandpa. They didn’t go to John Deere this time, but they did sit by the fire and read books.
Her rows are straight…that’s a big deal. You don’t want to have someone drive by and make fun of your rows!
It’s raining and snowing and the wind is blowing.
Still.
I’ve always heard if Easter is late, then Spring is late. Sure is proving to be a truth!

Beautiful fields. Terry and Misty do good work. I especially like the sunlit level field. But the rows look like that farmer has plenty of experience and knows how to focus on his job. Love the grandpa-granddaughter photo too.
Yeah, rotten weather, late spring. I feel your pain.

We were all enjoying a California spring early this month, then the storms moved in and we are back to winter for a while.

Straight rows – ahhh yes, that is why *I* would never be put behind the wheel of the tractor!

Do people really make fun of rows that are not straight?
Your pictures never cease to amaze me thanks for sharing!

I really hope that is not true for all your sakes. Misty is doing a great job.

Well, I can’t make a straight line with a ruler, so I’m sure no one would put me on a tractor to do so. 😉
Stay warm and hopefully spring will find you soon! ♥
P.S. Did you get my email reply?

I can’t even walk straight…rows might be a problem.

It sounds as if Misty is quickly becoming a pro! I’m glad you didn’t see some of the rows I laid down on the farm. I hope Spring gets to you way before Easter.

Good post and good pics Linda. No farming at all ’round here yet. Farmers are itchy to get at it, but it is late coming spring no doubt about it.

Those are nice straight rows, well done. We went north to central MN for the weekend and both mornings it was -3*. The cold temps are good for our area, it slows down the melt and that helps the flood waters to stay lower. The barges are moving on the Mississippi in the Winona MN area, so spring really is here.

Farmers here now use GPS to get it straight. Not like ‘back in the day’ when I had to sight in on a tree and not look back!

Sending warm thoughts your way as well. We got a cold front that came through last night but it only dipped down to the 40’s overnight and were back into the 70’s today.
Wishing spring will come for you soon! I am enjoying the longer days!!
