It rained last night
My yard is beautiful and green, the dust is settled and the drying alfalfa is wet. Just one more day in the heat and then a day to bale and haul and it could rain.
70% chance for the rest of the day and night today, Tuesday with more storms for Wednesday.
I still love the rainbows the storms produce.
Linda

I feel the same way you do about rainbows. No matter how many times I see them, I am still in awe of them. Love that wonderful looking rain! No rain here yet. Folks wells are drying up, but the good Lord is still watching over us and our wells are still running. Blessings,Kathleen

I believe rainbows must have their babies where you live. That, and your being outside with your camera at the ready and not in some cubicle with your ear stuck to a phone probably helps. I’m glad you’ve got enough rain to settle the dust even though it makes getting in the hay a bit more challenging. We go a wet thunder and lightning storm last night–more spectacular that fireworks for a while.

We awoke to a very overcast day, which is a much welcomed relief from yesterdays heat. For us humans that is. Hay is another story, of course. So far no rain and its been good for baling.
Keeping an eye to the sky and one on the baler!
With all our hay down we sure are not welcoming any rain now.
We haven’t seen too many rainbows this summer.

I hope you get your hay in as planned. Then you could really enjoy any rainbows that come along.

I’m sorry you didn’t get your alfalfa in. How long can it last once it’s cut (and been rained on multiple times), before it’s considered a loss?
