” This guy was maybe 25 ft away and if there had been just a bit of greenery it would be invisible. A coyote might be fooled once with something and if it didn’t cost it it’s life that mistake would never be repeated”.—From TB from http://oneflyspictureplace.blogspot.com/
TB sent me over these two photo he took of a coyote. See if you can find the coyote. I looked and looked and looked, when they want to hide, they can very well.
You can see the head in the first photograph pretty well.
Have fun!
Linda
That second photo is a tough one! I could not find him in that one. Yes they blend in really well:)

It took a while but I found him. I was hearing reports of all kinds of snow in Colorado….I see you missed it.

I found him in the first photo but couldn’t see him in the second. Sneaky creature!

Yes I can see them. More important…some excellent photography. this makes me wonder how many times we walk by these guys and never see them. We’ll just have to improve our ability to smell.

Thanks Linda, that made me feel better. I really strained my eyes a couple of days ago trying to find coyotes in your pictures. I can never see a snake or a lizard, either, until they wander across the toe of my shoe maybe. And that’s even when the snake is black with bright yellow stripes.

I couldn’t find the one in photo #2 or at least not so as I would say for certain. Are you going to tell us where he is??

Nope. I always fail at these things.
Then when they are pointed out, they’re always obvious. 😉

HI Linda, Happy Super Bowl Sunday to you. May the best team win!!! I personally am for the Giants –but I truly just hope it is a good game. Anxious to see some great commercials also!!!
Great pictures —and he must blend in really well since I can’t find him. Oh Well!!!

We see coyotes around Continental Divide every once in awhile. The Navajo believe if they cross your path in a certain way they are foretelling a death of someone in your life. There are lots of coyote stories too. This is wonderful. Ethel saw the coyote right away. I had a lot more trouble making it out. Great post, Linda.

I saw him, wow, they are so small aren’t they, i am always looking for a bigger more ferocious animal, I hope this one had found a rabbit for his dinner .. and was not hunting your friends animals.. c

My eyes are just too old to find the coyote. I enjoyed trying, though.

Great catch! Thanks for re-posting them…
I’d rather deal with coyotes than half-wild domestic dogs any day….

We have so many here. I had a mess on the porch earlier this week and was shocked to find not a coyote but a wild pig!

I saw him right away in the first photo. Never did in second. I wonder if, as humans, we seek out/locate faces in all creatures and see them more clearly when we can see a face?

It took a moment, but I saw him. With the tans and browns its great camouflage..:-)
