Pink-SKyiesThe trees are showing signs of waking up…we are moving forward even though we must still have a fire in the early morning.

Water is in the early canals and heading our way…I always find it exciting to see the water rushing toward us as the canal opens.  For the rest of the season my heart sings as I heard the water rushing, rushing onward bringing life to water starved land.

Maybe today our water will get here, maybe not, but when it does I will let all of you know.

  1. Yea for your water!!! So glad you are getting it now. I LOVE the sound of water. When we row watered years ago, I would sit by the pipes and listen to it gushing out…close my eyes and imagine myself by a mountain stream! Now with pivots, not much sound except for the motor moving it around and around in the field. 😦

Bitter cold and windy here yesterday and today. Looking forward to warming temps for the rest of the week.

    Blessings!

  2. Water is LIFE. So glad you at least have enough to get things started. Hoping for a rainy spring for you and your neighbors (as soon as you get the seeds in the ground).

  3. Water and trees waking up, what’s not to love! I do hope you’ll post pics of the water. I (being the queen of questions) wonder how you’ll get water to your fields if it’s in a pipe. You system of syphoning it off the open canal wouldn’t work. Questions, questions, questions. 🙂

  4. I wish I could send you some of my dogwood, lilac, camellias, weeds that are 3 feet tall, and other green lushness. It’s enough to make one drunk. But all this will still be coming your way when plants here in California have settled in for a long, hot summer. I think the only way to enjoy it all is to own houses in several different parts of the country.
