Welcome Back by John Sebastian –
Welcome Back
Your dreams were your ticket out.
Welcome back,
To that same old place that you laughed about.
Well the names have all changed since you hung around,
But those dreams have remained and they’re turned around.
Who’d have thought they’d lead ya (Who’d have thought they’d lead ya)
Here where we need ya (Here where we need ya)
Yeah we tease him a lot cause we’ve got him on the spot, welcome back,
Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back.

Mom was so excited!!! Our very first little Hummingbird is home!
Boomer and I were just hanging out—resting.
We are pretty good at this resting thing—
In the house
Outside—Boomer is just like Snoopy on Charlie Brown, he loves to sleep on TOP of the dog houses, sometimes he likes to HANG out!
But this time we were just resting as Mom weeded in the yard.
As Mom weeded and we slept our very FIRST little hummingbird arrived at the feeder!
Mom was over joyed to see the little thing!
“Welcome Back, little Friend! Welcome Back!” she whispered!
Boomer just opened an eye and looked then went right back to resting.
I sat up and looked at Mom…I’m always happy when Mom is happy! Then I moved over to a better spot to rest.
Welcome back, little bird!
Fuzzy!

Hummer!!!!!!

Our little guys have arrived, too! Fuzzy, they are just the most precious birds! Just one of the things make summer complete 🙂 Your weather must be warming up – sun shiny nap time!

I’ve had my feeder out for a week, but no sign yet :-/. I’m a bit worried as our numbers were smaller last year than normal. Hopefully not a trend.

Fuzzy, I’m glad you and Boomer have this resting thing down pat. We’ve had hummingbirds back for a couple of weeks, but haven’t gotten any pictures yet. Mom is way ahead of us.

Yes, welcome back little hummies. Our arrived on Easter and we had to move the feeders cause the raccoons were climbing the deck railing and spilling all the sugar water. Moved them in front of the kitchen window with free standing tall metal shepherds crook. So far, so good and they are delightful. One is an Anna and the other a Rufous (red). They were late this year but still welcome. Tell the boys its okay to rest in the shade. We have hit 85 and the chickens did not like it at bedtime…..coop too hot….

Hummingbirds in our yard have to settle for working hard to get nectar out of lavender. It’s cute to watch them but they really deserve their own feeder.
Thanks for blast from past.

Although I’m sure that neither Boomer nor Fuzzy give a ‘hoot’ about the Hummingbirds, they do love seeing Mom smile. AND hummingbirds definitely make Mom (and me) smile!!!!! Congrats.
Hugs,

Boomer, momma is so happy because the hummingbirds being home means summer if right around the corner. I love that you like to be like Snoopy and hang out on top of the doghouses.

Awesome! Hubby thought he saw one this morning, but I missed it. I *do* know that my swallows are back, though! Must be spring – even if it’s still too cold!

How beautiful to have a hummingbird visit your feeder – so special. I love seeing photos of them.
Aw, glad you and Boomer were so happy too Fuzzy… love the little eye-open for joy bit!!
What nice cosy beds you both have – I’d have a bit of a sleep-in too.
Lovely to catch up with you all once again. Great post and we used to enjoy “Welcome Back Kotter” over here too all those years ago 🙂

Hooray for hummers! Hooray for spring. Hooray for a good nap–and maybe another. A dog’s life isn’t so bad if there is a warm soft bed, lunch and someone to share a walk and a hug.

Sweet little hummer! I have a couple, too. I really enjoy them. Fuzzy and Boomer you should not work so hard….LOL! You are doing the same thing as my Lucky does these days…laying in the sun. Except she will start seeking shade today…it is to be 90 or above for the next 4 days. Went from Winter into Summer, as usual.
Blessings!

Looks to me Fuzzy and Boomer as though it is just so tiring being a dog.
