Step into my little side garden and sit a spell with me.
I’ll bring out some iced tea, or if you prefer a Pepsi
We will talk about nothing really. Just sit and get to know each other–tell little stories of times gone by
We will share the garden with the Hummingbirds, the bumble bees and the honey bees, I hope you are not afraid of them…they rush tangibly here and there among the flowers
I’ll snip you some herbs–catnip for your kitties, or maybe some catmint, a small bouquet of lavender…or mondera for your tea.
Come sit in the garden with me.
Your friend,
Linda
You are doing well in the garden.
Should attract the birds for nectar.
I’ll take a cold beer thanks – ha ha.
Here this arrived at 6.30 pm Monday 6th.
Cheers
Colin

On your return visit, come and sit in my swing seat on the back porch, smell the citrus blossom and eat home made mandarin cake. You can throw old bread for the whistling ducks, magpies and ibis, and listen to the sweet minor tones of the butcher birds. Lime cordial? I love how you evoke your summer garden….

OH I AM ON MY WAY!!!! Tea will be fine, and sitting in the NOW with bees is good..it reminds me of my favorite poem by WIlliam Butler Yeats……Here it is let us share it in the garden: LOVE MERRI….Boomer comes too right? poewm below:
The Lake Isle of Innisfree
BY WILLIAM BUTLER YEATS
I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree,
And a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made;
Nine bean-rows will I have there, a hive for the honey-bee,
And live alone in the bee-loud glade.
And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow,
Dropping from the veils of the morning to where the cricket sings;
There midnight’s all a glimmer, and noon a purple glow,
And evening full of the linnet’s wings.
I will arise and go now, for always night and day
I hear lake water lapping with low sounds by the shore;
While I stand on the roadway, or on the pavements grey,
I hear it in the deep heart’s core.

Such a beautiful garden with all your lovely flowers, Linda! You’re hard work has really paid off in beauty!
I got moved to my temporary quarters yesterday before a huge storm arrived. Won’t have to battle my mud road for awhile! Painters will be there soon!
Blessings!

I will be right over 😉 I love the hummers. I have three feeders out, and when they need to be changed, they let me know!

Thanks so much for the invite to sit awhile and enjoy your garden. I loved it! Was hoping it was ok that I had a hot cup of tea rather than an ice tea – it’s a bit chilly for that here!
