We woke up to a dark covered sky this morning. But as the day woke-up, the sky lightening into a white canvas, the snow has started falling.
Doing my chores the snow whispered around me and my footsteps silent in the crisp breeze.
They say once this snow has stopped the air will turn chillingly cold. But until then…..
I must admit I take a childish delight in being able to walk in virgin snow.
Your friend on a western Colorado farm,
Linda

What a fun picture!

Me too! And I love that silence that blankets you with snow. That muffled, fluffy silence…I’m happy for you.

I love snow…as long as I don’t have to live in it. It hasn’t snowed here since 1960

Well, it would be better if we didn’t have it until we get the corn in—but since we don’t I guess I had better like it. Tee Hee

Oh wow, soooo jealous. I know I shouldn’t bemoan our warmth (still 19C, 66F), but that looks magical – coz we don’t get the white stuff here! 🙂

I understand…I get jealous of all your warmth and sunshine.

Linda, the snow may bring back youthful delights but I will be happy when a blog comes
up from you that says: “YAH – WE HAVE THE CORN OFF”.
Cool morning here after a wet weekend which was not unwelcome, this week here will be surprisingly pleasant – temp. wise nothing over 30 Celsius and 18 Celsius at night.
Cheers and CORN OFF please
Colin

Isn’t the snow rather late this year?

I always hate to walk in the snow because I don’t want to mess it up. Lol

I don’t like to mess it up either, but someone always does. Even if it is just the dog or cats. So getting to be the first was thrilling!

That’s a good way to look at it. Just like being the very first person to use a new tub of butter!!😀

i love it too Linda, but then it begins to go and gets slushy and dirty – then I am not so keen. Ours has all gone and it is very mild here, but thefields are too wet to go on. It is frustrating for the farmer.

It is starting to look very ragged. Terry and I are concerned. Nothing we can do though. Sigh
