A long-time blog reader, Elaine, from the Black Forest, Colorado, sent me this great photo of Robin Williams
Denver Bronco Cheerleader!
Elaine has the following to say:
“BTW, Broncos won that game! The game was played at Mile High Stadium, in Nov 1979, for an episode of Mork and Mindy, for those those who might not remember 🙂
Mork and Mindy was big when I worked in Boulder. Parking was tight in downtown Boulder, so it seems I always ended up parking in front of “the Mork and Mindy house” on Pine St… oh, those were the days!”
Thanks, Elaine. Robin Williams as truly a great one!
With fondness,
Linda
A sport we don’t have over here Linda and which seems so big over in the US – rather like our football I suppose.

I miss Robin Williams….he was a funny, funny man. I can’t say as I’m much of a sports fan…….I’d rather do them than watch but that isn’t as easy as it was 40 years ago 😉

I always like Robin Williams…it just goes to show we never really know what is going on in other people’s minds. His sadness and despair was way too much. Our world is much more lonely without him.

Watched some of the game – shown here live from 10.00 am Monday – for 6 hours!!!!!
The usual US backpacker and resident crowd were in droves in the Grand Central Bar
below the Sofitel, strangely this year none were in the Sofitel’s Bar and Bistro Area.
I let it be known I was cheering for your Broncos – but here the game is really not watched
by Aussies as no one can fathom out the rules!
I was home to see the last 5 minutes of the game which took much longer than 5 minutes,
but thought of you watching over there and doing “aerobatics” at the full time siren.
Maybe the Brisbane Broncos will follow suit and win our Australian Rugby League (ARL)
competition??
Great day for Colorado and I bet the noise in Denver was incredible – maybe you heard
them – ha ha?????
Cheers
Colin

It was very interesting and fun! I think Peyton Manning is a class act. And if it weren’t for Von Miller and the defensive coach…well, they are the stars.

Yes Linda – he, Peyton Manning, was the “clinch pin”.
I made it my business to read up all about him.

Quite a star and maybe will become a great coach.

I don’t care a fig about football, but that would have been a game to watch; what a cheerleader, how funny. He was one of a kind for sure.

We loved Mork & Mindy and was so sad when Robin died. You just never know how sad some people’s lives really are and how fortunate we are living life to the fullest on our farms.
