“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you. Because the greatest secret are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.”–Roald Dahl
The light, of late, has been just stunning.
The sky a pearlized blue like the color of an oyster’s pearl.
But the light…of that fast setting sun! That marvelous light that spreads across the land!
The clouds so beautiful I feel like I would love to reach up and touch them
First there is the golden shower of sunshine, then the spread of the pink and lavender and apricot!
For a very short time…just a moment really, I live in the center of color.
The center of the setting sun…warm, and comforted, with that burst of true joy, which always comes just before the sun is gone for another day.
From my world to your heart,
Linda

Thank you for sharing the beautiful light and color from your part of our world.

Love the pictures, Linda, but also the quote. Ronald Dahl is much beloved in our house. We have read and reread and reread his books.

It’s a most depressing time of year for me also. I have to watch for the things that lift my soul. Then delight in them. Just think…in 60 days, or so, your Almond trees will be blooming. Someday I would love to be there to see them.

Dear Linda!
I’m beginning to Wonder about the conversation around your breakfast table!! The simple and lovely poetry you garnish your every pictural entry with, is soo good that you can almost touch the sunset with your bare hands. Farmers wife?? OH and some more.
I know, Boomer, she is also mum who gives you food and hugs. Blessings to the Coloradopoet and her hardworking Terry.
