Light, Morning and Night, Sunday, December 18, 2022

And while we have Pink light for evening–fat, full wonderful Pink light.

In the very thin air, as the sun starts to think about getting out of bed.  Our world turns blue.

The Thin time.

Essential– the Vitality of Light (and the JOY) — Monday, November 23, 2020

I love the light

Of that, I am sure you already know

And I love the shadows the light give us

I love how the sunlight breaks forth from the clouds

Bathing all sorts of objects in gold

I love how the setting sun creates a harmony of brilliant colors

Or bathes the sky in mellow pastels

Shadows can only exist in light

Even jumbles of obstacles can not stop light brilliantly shining through

I love how the light shines gleaming through the cold icy air gives us Sundogs —[we are steadily declining into very cold weather].

Light and shadows —

Coloring our world with joy

From my sphere of the globe to your heart,

Linda

Where the God(s) Live—Tuesday, June 16, 2020

As a child, I often wondered (sometimes worried) where does God Live?

When I asked ‘those who know’  they always pointed to the sky

Somewhere way up there far, far away

Or, if I were at church, my Sunday School teacher would say “Here in God’s House”

Now, that REALLY got me concerned, because AFTER ALL, here we were all tromping around in GOD’S HOUSE

And God was NEVER Home!

Of course, over-time, Momma explained to me that God lived in our hearts

Which became truly confusing, because I could never really feel a BIG, All-Encompassing person, with a white robe, white hair and beard, and scary fiery eyes —-in my heart.

Wouldn’t my heart be too heavy for my body then?

My paternal Grandmother (who was a STAUCH Presberterian) said, “No, Linda…not a physical person in your heart…but a feeling in your heart”!

Still very confused I took my worry, my small child’s concern to my maternal grandmother (who was a staunch Baptist)

Who told me to pray about my question to the Heaven/God and see what I learn.

“O!”

New thought!

So I prayed.  Every night. Every morning. Asking where God lived.

I was sitting outside on the cement step with my maternal Grandfather when I thought to ask him the question—“Where does God live?”

“Why, Sweet Thing, he lives everywhere.  And nowhere

“He is a great mystery.  And one we should always honor.” Granddad reached over and pulled me next to him, took up my hand, and placed it in his.

God belongs to no one and everyone. He is in many forms and helps many people.

He touches all of us, just like the light from the sun and the moon and the stars.

Then he pulled me close in a hug.

It was then I understood.

From my world to your heart,

Linda

Light, Lively, Alive, and There For Us to See —-Thursday, April 9, 2020

Well, here you see what happens when trash comes down the canal, lands in the headgate and then comes onto the land

Everything plugged up and flooded all things it shouldn’t

What a mess…Now, this field will have to dry out BEFORE work can begin on it.

While we were sorting out the trash, moving dams, setting up dams and tubes I noticed the leveler (landplane) waiting silently and calmly for its turn (again)  — this is an early morning shot

I thought the sunlight treading its way over the sky (this was around noon) lite up the brown manured filled ground perfectly

Then, as the day wore into the evening, where shadows stretched long and wide, I noticed how pretty the leveler looked so strikingly green as the sun started its relaxed downward turn toward the Uncompahgre Plateau.

The slow-spreading shadows of light—seeping onto the ancient land.

Watching with Glittering Eyes—-Monday, December 5, 2016

light-001

“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you.  Because the greatest secret are always hidden in the most unlikely places.  Those who don’t believe in magic  will never find it.”–Roald Dahl

The light, of late, has been just stunning.

more-light-001

The sky a pearlized blue like the color of an oyster’s pearl.

on-a-walk-007The air is very chilly

But the light…of that fast setting sun!  That marvelous light that spreads across the land!

storms-007

The clouds so beautiful I feel like I would love to reach up and touch them

storms-008

First there is the golden shower of sunshine, then the spread of the pink and lavender and apricot!

For a very short time…just a moment really, I live in the center of color.

The center of the setting sun…warm, and comforted, with that burst of true joy, which always comes just before the sun is gone for another day.

From my world to your heart,

Linda
