It’s been so dry our little (slue) pond
It is now dry. That is a good thing and a bad thing
Good because the mosquitoes can live and breed there.
A bad thing because now the wildlife must travel
to the ditches to get a drink of water
But the other news from out on the farm —are the biting bugs. They are many and they are thick.
Deerflies, biting flies, you name it.
Here is a horsefly for you….yes, they ARE that big, about the size of my thumb…
And the bites HURT!!
I should have waited until it landed, but I actually didn’t want too. 🙂
Just say’n! 🙂
Your friend on a western Colorado farm,
Linda
Yikes. “RAID!” *BOOM*

Ouch! We have something similar in Sweden. They liked to take a bite of us when we were Painting the house, standing on a ladder with a paint bucket. Are they bothering the horses?

We spray all the horses —but, yes, they will, if we didn’t take safety measures. 🙂
