A group of Hummingbirds is called
A Charm.
How cool is that?
Whoever decided to call them a Charm
Picked a perfect word to describe them
The Golden light last night
Seemed to turn all the little Humminbirds
Gold.
Golden Charms.
The Rufus are back. They have been here for a couple of weeks now.
They are early
Usually arriving the first week in August.
The Rufus turned and even Golder
Golden color in that Magic Hour of sun.
As did the sky!
From my heart to your world,
Linda
You got some beautiful pictures of all those charmers — as well as of the sky.

Beautiful and most interesting. We have a small charm off and on during the day. Nothing like your charm ~

Right after you left they ALL came…I don’t know what happened or why, but I’m enjoying them

Oh how delightful! The lady at our bird store said not to feed the city water with chlorine as it is bad for their bones. She also suggested feeding them a regular hummingbird food as it has vitamins and minerals which mimic the flowers.. Sugar and water doesn’t give them enough nutrition–and no red dye. What have we come to! Health food for the birds. Happy Monday and thanks for the charming and uplifting blog. I depend on you for “uplifting”. Many of your recent blogs have been soothing and comforting. Many thanks.

They are so fun to watch…we have had some very little one lately, I must sit and quietly photograph them…I seem to always have 100 other things to do 🙂

I understand. I get a billion photos of FUZZ but randomly there is a good one.

They are such adorable babies. They can be loud, too. I’ve had them visit me on the porch and they initially scared the hell out of me. Sound like tiny helicopters…
