Shhhhh
In the silence
When the morning shadows are long, and the plants still in dew
While Terry and I and change and re-set the irrigation water
The early morning light
highlights the return of the deer
And so does the corn.
Your friend on a western Colorado farm,
Linda
That’s so beautiful and cute.

While I’m sorry to see what the deer do to your corn, I enjoyed the pictures you captured of them.

We don’t like it either, but it is what it is. They also bed down in the corn, making crop circles, 🙂

Who? The bucks? They have no fear, come into the yard, anywhere they want to go.

Awesome visitation.
You grow red corn?

No, that is just the cob after all the corn is eaten

Does it turn red in the sun? I’ve never seen a red corn cob.

No, that is just what it is. We raise corn for cow/chicken/pork/animal feed. Although, it is the same corn that is used to make cereal….like Sugar Frosted flakes.
