Nearly Constant (the Smoke), BUT Look What is Happening, —- Wednesday, August 26, 2020

The smoke has been nearly constant, burning the eyes and smothering the land. But late evening brought a wind

That started to clear the skies from the dull light through the deep smoke

The wind gusting here and there adding to the

sweet joy of seeing the new baby alfalfa seeds taking hold and starting to grow

Even in the muted gray of the skies, and the true lack of real sunlight, the new field is starting to green up.

The evening colors weaving lushly in the sky

And bathing us with immediate relief.

Greenfields and clearer skies!

With even a hint of rain in the air!

WOW!

Your friend on a western Colorado farm,

Linda

      • my wife said she could feel a hint of “rain-moisture” on her skin last night. as i suspect you’ll agree, TODAY is the clearest for weeks! e.g. we couldn’t even SEE the Mesa some days, nor the Bookcliffs — but today, yes. I was up on the Monument earlier this a.m. and tho’ it’s hazy up north, i could see (at times) 2 ridges beyond the B’cliffs. i bet you can see the San Juans, etc. ?
