Let It Rain, Let It Snow, Let It Blow—-Monday, September 7, 2020

A load of pine arrived

Just as the sky was turning to crimson.

We only have to head to the mountains for aspen, then we are set for the winter!

Not long now to gather all the firewood

There is a ‘for-real’ chill in the early morning air now.

Your friend on a western Colorado farm,

Linda

  1. I remember how getting my firewood delivered was the signal that winter was on the way. And yes, it warmed me three times: once when I stacked it, once when I split the logs and once when I burned it!

  2. We’re bringing in wood as well and never been this late having the woodshed full! Garden is done but raising a few things in the greenhouse. 45* here this morning but big chill headed for us supposedly this weekend. I think I’m ready for cooler weather.
Praying for all of the west and the fires, a good gentle snow may be just what you need!!
