Grace and her two little sidekicks, Polk and Dottie
Had a terrible disaster
Steal up upon them
Danger stalked Grace and Polk and Dottie sometime on a warm late Autumn day.
With loving memory of an amazing bird and her two little hens.
From my world to your heart,
Linda

It’s rather silent in the yard now. She was a talkie box.

A daylight attack? The Harrier hawks? It is heartbreaking to find evidence of violence.

No, we think it was early evening…just at dusk. So probably the fox who hangs around.

Oh no!!!! I hate when that happens. When we used to have pheasants running around our yard for months and I would put corn out….I was always watching to see what kind of predator might sneak into the yard and grab those pheasants. One time a hawk came down and picked up a male and female pheasant at the same time! Luckily the boy struggled so much, the hawk had to drop him. Wow ….something got all 3 ? Maybe it was more than one something! So very sorry.
