Looking Forward — New Year’s Eve, Thursday, December 31, 2020

One of the most painful moments in a person’s life probably comes with the insight that an age has been reached when there is more to look back on than ahead.                     A Man Called Ove, by Fredrik Backman

The snow came and left.  Watering the dry earth.  It was nice. I am also glad it is gone.

Here we go…heading into another year.

Good-bye 2020.  Thank you for everything, all the good, the lovely, and even the ugly.

Hang on world…here comes 2021!

Your friend on a western Colorado farm,

Linda

    • I hope so, Katie! I sometimes think I see my beaglie, then I turn and realize I really didn’t. You are a precious soul, here on earth. Love you. May 2021 be a better year for all.

  1. You know Linda, I realized exactly what you’re talking about, a while back. I have been so enjoying some of my younger friends having babies and watching them grow and then realizing I won’t be around to see what they become or who they marry, or children they’ll have. I won’t be here long enough for those things. Well, maybe I’ll catch a glimpse from up above now and then! Our lives are short, we must just make the best of them that we can. Happy New Year to you and Terry!

    • I know. Our lives are very short, really. It doesn’t seem so when we are younger, but after 50 a person starts to realize time flies very fast. Then when you get to the 70s. You realize how short time really is. Happy New Year, Diane.
