Why? — Thursday, July 29, 2021

“The voyage of discovery consists not of seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.”–Marcel Proust

I have a snake (water snake) who lives in the hen house with the hens.  Randomly we (snake and I) scare each other.

Why would you tolerate a snake in the hen house, you ask?

This is why.

Snakes love to eat mice!

Way to go, Snake!

Your friend on a western Colorado farm,

Linda

  1. In Australia, people often tolerate carpet pythons for the same reason, but ideally don’t let them get too large; they’re constrictors, and the big ones can manage a whole chicken if it’s not too large!
