Glad that your corn is looking good! We are not as far along as you folks are around here, but the corn also looks pretty nice. Good thing, as it has been ridiculously hard for anyone to get any hay. Fields that normally would be on their third cutting on many of the top farms haven’t even had their first cut taken off yet.
They caught an arsonist here who had set a number of fires. Some fires were set to trap firefighters between fires. I have wondered why we had so many lightening and “spontaneous” fires. There weren’t any fires in the Dust Bowl and during the 50s when droughts and heat were so much worse. I also wonder why we don’t have more fire fighting capacity. We seem able to pay for everything else.

Corn is lookin’ good! I am so jealous of your dirt. Looks like you’ve still got smoke, too. So sad.

So glad it is better there,

I’m glad it looks as if you are going to have a good corn crop. I hope the weather will continue to cooperate.

Corn! Yum! My local farmer friend has plenty.
Is your corn for people or animals…or something else?
