At least they got away, but this predator stayed close to the camera for several minutes.

Alan has set out a number of trail cams here on the farm this year and set it up so I can see the photos on my phone. It is amazing what is out there, even in the old orchard right next to the house. No wonder Mack barks sometimes!

now … mebbe i don’t know a whole lot about nuthin’ — but, between you ‘n me — i don’t think ‘yotes are much (if any) of a threat to mature adult deer. yes, i used to “donate” a cat once a year to the “coyote lunch fund” — but not for a while now.
