Time is Fleeing—Wednesday, September 4, 2024

The insect world is working hard, harder, hardest.

This time of year —although, the heat makes one feel like the days are dragging,—

The insects know it isn’t

That one day, very soon, the  heat will no longer fill the days, and quite suddenly

(We had a freeze on Oct 6, 2013—-a photo from the archives)

A freeze will occur causing summer to vanish.

Until then—

We will continue to prepare and watch the signs of the year’s turning.

Your friend on a western Colorado farm,

Linda

  1. Charlee: “Ooh, those look like extra spicy sky raisins. We will just watch them from a safe distance.”
Lulu: “Our Dada is over here singing something about how time keeps on slippin’ slippin’ slippin’ into the future. We think it sounds like maybe time needs a new set of tires if it slips that much.”

  2. Yellow Jackets. Eek!

Mama, you won’t believe this. Remember when I told you that Ken had complained about me having too many dragons? What does he do? He gets me one, too. *facepalm* Remember the blue/purple dragon on the silver ball you have me? He gave me an orange dragon on a smaller globe, resembling yours. Have mercy…SMH. LOL!
