Mom is now in a regular tennis shoe, or a hiking boot, or — another hard-sole, thick sided shoe!
She says she can hardly wait for FLIP FLOPS
She has to wear the boot if her foot starts to feel extremely tired. I’ll bet that is a rare thing for mom. (Just say’n)
Another exciting thing is the American Tree Sparrows are back!! They like to get in the tip-top of the Cottonwood trees and SING LOUD!!
We all rejoice when we hear them.
SPRING IS STARTING to HAPPEN!!
TLC, Boo Berry and MOM!

Congratulations on the footwear upgrade! And…thanks for putting a name to those crazy birds for me. I’m in NE Texas (a transplant) and for the last couple of week there have been thousands of them in my trees. I’ve asked around and been told “Oh, don’t worry. They’ll be gone soon”. I don’t care if they stay, I just want to know what they are as they are not listed in my Birds of Texas book, which is pretty comprehensive. I guess the author must have thought we should all know those birds are American Tree Sparrows!

Loud birds are a sure sign of spring. We hope your mama doesn’t rush to the flip flops. They are not the healthiest choice even for strong, healthy feet. We need her to stay up and running for a long long time!
Love and licks,
