I’m Back!
We didn’t go to anywhere, long story, which I will tell sometime on down the road.
While out checking on the cows and seeing how the ground was coming along for tractor work I took a photo of this cow
“Looks like you are going to have twins”, I told her.
“TWINS!” she replied, “TWINS!”
(I think so, don’t you? SHHHHHHHHHHH!)
Going on Vacation
Yeah, we are taking a small vacation (small because we can’t be gone too long, with all the animals and chores).
But … it is still a vacation. Misty, our daughter who lives across the field is going to come feed all the animals, gather the eggs, and toss hay to the cows. The cows have heated water tanks, but everyone else has to have attention.
So we are going from this (winter)
Too — I don’t know—something in Arizona, maybe.
Yeah!
***I’m so happy I feel like I could do the Chicken Dance!***
Monkey is mad because she doesn’t like to be alone, or to go outside, but I think she will make it.
And when we get back I will have a better relaxed attitude. Spring will almost be here and I can start working in the garden!

I have received so many awards lately that I am going to have to say Thank you to each one of you, but I can’t keep up with the requirements of the awards. Please know that I do appreciate you thinking of me enough to give me award, and that I am very happy that you visit me. But from this time forward I just won’t be able to do any more awards. L

John Deere Days
Ralph and Pat Mangum, owners of the John Deere dealerships in Delta, Montrose and Grand Junction, hosted their 50th year of being in business on February 7th.
Several of the local farmers were asked to bring in their tractors so visitors could admire the 50 years of being green.
Terry was asked to bring in his 530

I also had to get a picture of Pat Mangum with the John Deere Porcelain dolls Terry’s mother made for her.
Babysitting the New Puppy
Our oldest got a new puppy
· (no she did not need another dog
· yes she already has two dogs
· yes they both work)
But who am I to say anything.
Linkin (Misty) is puppy sitting while Shannon is at work. The puppy is 6 weeks old, Linkin is 4 years old so who is puppy sitting? (Misty) Which means Linkin (Misty) gets to house break a puppy.
When Linkin (Misty) has to go somewhere, the puppy gets to come to Grammy and Grandpa’s.
And the puppy gets to meet, Monkey, Fuzzy Dude and….
the chickens!
Anyway, the puppy is a Black Mouth Cur hound. Like all puppies she is a doll. Like all grandchildren, she gets to go home.

I have fallen in love with goats and cows, chickens and dogs, children and cats, horses and donkeys.
I have learned tiny bits about food, yarn, frugal living, soap, participated in skinning a couple of rattlesnake, and not to mention all the joys and sadness.
I have cried over sad anniversaries and rejoiced over Happy Birthday’s , felt dismay over destruction from the weather and marveled at cold so cold the air turns to ice and sparkles all the way from there to my computer.
This award is for each one of you who as reached into my life and brought to me more awareness and depth to who I am.
