We loaded up and headed to the last pull of the year—the Delta County Fair, in Hotchkiss, Colorado

Last week we got a bit of rain….
Enough to make my fur wet. Mom says this rain was a gift! She said we really needed it.
But Mom doesn’t hunt in the wet grass and stuff.
No, but she (and Dad and I) do have to walk around and ride in the mud. And the mud is a tad slippery.
Now we are back to needing rain again.
Only in your opinion, snarks TLC.
You gotta admit 103* is a wee bit hot, TLC. Some rain will cool us down, replied Boo Berry.

A hawk. This is a different hawk than the one we used to see.
That one had a tail feather missing
So beautiful! So magnificent!
ACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Look Out You Beautiful Red-winged Blackbird!
Scram! HAWK!!! SCRAM!!!

Please come with me for a last look at the farm in July
Here is Chip —enjoying a wee treat in the early morning sunshine
The shadows seem to stay the same always, Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter (which is perfect for me)

No matter the time of year the Golden Hour is so very special
The Hollyhocks are perfectly wonderful
Irrigation goes on 24 seven with us working it every four hours, except during the night
And always, always, always I love seeing the sun rising up over the land or setting upon the land
Everything seems to be going well—I don’t think we could ask for more.

Swallows! I love these little birds!
About as much as I love seeing Rainbows in the sky!
Or the sunsetting behind the corn
Or those cute little squirrels (one lost his tail to TLC—-Sigh)
Or just walking along to set water and THERE is a heart gift from the earth.
Gosh, there are so many gentle and sweet things out there—it’s hard to pick just one.

Gosh, these horrible wildfires are just terrible! All of the northwest and Canada seem to be burning. My heart goes out to each and every person, animal, bug, and plant!
This is our sun, about 7:00 in the evening, on July 24th.
I can’t imagine what it’s like where the fires are. 😦
Sigh

We entered the Corvette in the car show last Saturday. But the funniest part of the day was the Valve Cover Races.
(You have to make a little car out of a valve cover —like a pine box derby car )
