Tallin, Linkin, and the Stuffed Animals Come for a Visit

Tallin wasn’t sure of all of this; I think she was missing Momma.

Linki doesn’t mind being with us, though.

We are Opening up a New Field

Since Terry retired he has time now to do the things he was always going to get too.  This little field hasn’t been working in 20 years, so the fence is coming down in preparation to enlarge the area and plant it.  Alfalfa sounds like a good crop.

Still No Water in the Canal

Usually the water comes down the canal by March 30th, but there isn’t any and today is April 1st.

Terry said that we must not have any onion growers on our ditch this year.  (Onion growers start earlier than most farmers, and need the water sooner.)

The Chickens are Happy About Spring Too

I cleaned out the chicken house, putting in new hay on the floor so they can peck and enjoy the protein from the hay.

But they really enjoy getting ‘out of the house’ and looking for bugs.  They like the worms in the field, also.

The Grass is Growing on the Canal

I am so happy to see the new springs of green grass, what joy spring is!
