Speak Slowly with Slower Thoughts, Thursday, October 3, 2024

My Daddy always said: “Think! Before you open your mouth!”

I sometimes have trouble with this—as he well knew.

The impulse was there, the thought came into my mind just as swiftly left my mouth.

It’s been a hard lesson to learn.

Think slowly, and talk your thoughts even slower.

I try to practice this concept constantly.

all the lives to be and

are full of trees and changing leaves.”– Virginia Woolf

EXALTATION! — Wednesday, October 2, 2024

Autumn is a SHOUT of Glory!  Even though the darkness is descending earlier and earlier each and every day.

It’s the accumulation of everything and anything: work, growth, seeding and reseeding, heavy blooming.  It is the end result.  The Harvest of, well, EVERYTHING!!! Even our hard work, even your hard work, we all come to this point.

Rejoice!  Sing loud as you go about your days!  Sing so everyone you meet can bask in your light!

Love you,

Perhaps Someday — Tuesday, October 1, 2024

I wish for all, each and every soul on the face of the earth to feel/see the beauty of the life-force our God(s) have given to us.  All one needs to do is to open their eyes and their heart to receive the gift of awareness.

Beauty is everywhere—-we can see it most clearly in the turning of the seasons…the feel in the air, the sounds the birds and bugs make, the color (the stunningly brilliant color) the hum of the earth itself.

From my heart to your world,

Linda

The Ordinary is Not Ordinary—Monday, September 30, 2024

The ordinary is not ordinary.  We forget this sometimes.  We forget to look at the familiar, we forget to look at the sky, there are colors there we often-times have no name for, we look at the plants, the grasses, each and every speck and pebble on the earth.  We often don’t hear the beautiful songs.  We often times scorn the sky and the weather forgetting to be inspired by the exquisite realm that can’t be harnest or tamed.

We forget to Honor our World, Our Lives, and Everything that touches us.

I try not to forget; My heart really does feel grateful!

From my world to your heart,

Linda

A Wee Walk About in the Night — Sunday, September 29, 2024

Boo Berry was a tab bit restless last evening, so we went for a small, tiny walk-about.
Just to the haystack yard, in through the corrals, around about on the grass, out to see the Chickens (they were sleeping very soundly), then back again for nice restful sleep.

A wee little jaunt —I don’t like to go further with her.  She is just too tiny and could be bait for a predator of some sort.

Chapter Six— The World Has Turned Bonkers

Shhhhhhhhhh

Mouse

Right there

Careful

SHHHHHHH

I put one paw carefully closer to the mouse

SUDDENLY large hoofbeats came dashing down the road right next to where I was hiding in the weeds.

HUGE HOOVES!!

I looked up. Jumped a mile high, and tried to scramble out the way FAST!

It was our resident Buck deer.

Well, ONE of our residents Buck Deer.

“MEOWWWWWWWWW!”  I screamed.

“SLOW DOWN!!! WHAT IS THE BIG HURRY!” I yowled at him.

“Huff, huff, pant, pant; Big storm coming in”, Ranger the Deer gasped between big breaths! “I’m trying to find the rest of the herd so we can high-tail it to the Back Forty and hide in the Black Forrest up there.”

“Big storm?  Aw, come on.  It’s not going to be THAT big you have to run crazy, is it?” I asked skeptically.

Ranger looked at me like I was — well, I was daft or something.  “Hum yes, yes, it is.” He replied.

“I can feel it in my antlers, the velvet is tingling and my horns are vibrating.  That only happens when something huge, big, and well, scary is coming down out of the sky.”

“Really”, I sat down and swished my beautiful big fluffy tail back and forth in the dirt. I’m not feeling anything super big and usually my tail gets all giant and sticks out every which way sending shocks down my spine.”

Ranger and I looked at my tail—I had to turn around but Ranger just walked over and stared at my tail.

Nope not big.  No shocks going down my spine.

“Nothing here on this cat,” I said.

Just then the whole herd of deer pounded into view.

Running hard and fast.

“STORM! RANGER! STORM!  WE GOT TO GET TO THE BLACK FOREST FAST!” They screamed as they flew past.

Ranger gave me a sideways look—“Guess you are on your own, TLC—-See ya later!”  With that he was gone with them.

Shish…the whole world has turned bonkers.  I went back to looking for mice.

The Rhythm of Fall —- Thursday, September 26, 2024

The Shadows grow Longer, and a little quicker than in the Summer.

Fall Shadows 🙂 A repeat in reverse of Spring!

Shadows—the rhythm and song of the sun to the earth.

Shadows—a power of ‘real’

Shadows—a spiritual contact with those things around us!

On Sunday We Went for a Drive—Wednesday, September 25, 2024

We drove to Silverton, Colorado

Then after that, we stopped at the Hot Springs Pool in Ouray, Colorado

It really wasn’t a long, long day.  We left at ten in the morning and returned at 5:30 in the afternoon.

Relaxed and rested.

Sure was nice.

And the sun took a step back, the trees lulled themselves to sleep and autumn was awakened.”– Raquel Franco

We Are Done with the Irrigation Season—Tuesday, September 24, 2024

No more water checks.  No more heading up to see if one or more siphon tubes have stopped

No more!  The season has finished.  Now we wait.  Corn harvest is next.  But that won’t be until late, late in the fall.

We were leaving our youngest Granddaughter’s volleyball game in Clifton when the moon started rising.

Taken with my cell phone
