Shadows blanket the world in a special silence.
They move in a peculiar way across the land—slowly, slowly, growing large, small, then gone.
I love shadows!
I really do.

Although, I dread winter—it is still a significant part of the great flow of energy from the earth
The earth has a beautiful vitality, which flows through it, under it, and around it.
This vibrancy ripples and eddies around us all the time
The seasons come and go quivering in the air,
As the earth’s energy continually vibrates and dances within our souls. This spark is found in all the plants, animals, rocks, the wind, the water, and the moisture from the sky.
We live, love, and breathe in this energy…wrapping us in cocoons of comfort
This life force of the earth…guides us, shares with us, blesses us.
Helping us live fully and balanced until we pass on.
If we just step out of the shadows and embrace the energy—-if.
From my heart to your world,
Linda
Seems like there is always a fence to repair
This one was at the Upper End by the drain ditch.
Fixed! Several spans of it. From the gate to that tree you see.
All repaired and ready for the cows when they come.
No, the cows won’t be here until after the corn is harvested. Several more weeks yet.

That’s about it for here. Still, it was rather neat to have the sky, the air, and the earth slightly darken.

It froze last night and
the night before
There are some blooms that have missed the killing frost
Those who succumbed are resting now
Waiting for Spring.
Winter is whispering in the wind…there is snow on the mountains surrounding us
For a few more days, possibly weeks, we will walk in the realm of the dying, the sacred ground of summer past.
From my world to your heart,
Linda
The Star of the farm!
Corn!
It’s not dry yet. When it totally dries down the ear will turn over facing the ground.
Once that happens we wait until the moisture in the corn reaches a certain point–14% or lower. Then we harvest!
