The Adventures of Boo Berry Betty and TLC Cai-Cai on Friday—-Four is a Great Age for My New Life, Friday, February 17, 2023

Mom will tell you all about our big four-day and four-night snow on Sunday… right now I want to tell you —-

I JUST LOVE MY NEW LIFE!!!

I have so many things I get to do, so many things I want to do, and things I didn’t even KNOW I wanted to do.

Like ride with Mom in the car!

Wait! Wait!

Back to the beginning.

My first 3 ½ years were spent in a kennel, hearing other dogs, and then getting to have a visit with a boy dog—that never lasted long, in and out kinda thing.

Then I got to come live with MOM and Dad and my very own cat, TLC!!

For the first two months, it was scary! I had issues with some things, like wetting the floor anytime I got afraid. (and I WAS afraid lots—but NOT any more 🙂 )

Although, it didn’t take me long to like to go “OUTSIDE” to do my private stuff.  Mom always told me I was a GOOD GIRL so going outside was fun. And freeing. And Full of cool things to smell.

Anyway…that is a moot point. Mom and I have worked out a system of understanding and all is good.

You know, if I were a human, I would be 32 years old. I would be holding down a good job—kids growing up—you know—established.

Well!  I am AM established!

I play with TLC.  I go outside BY myself (sometimes, well, not often, only if TLC is with me)

I go on very long walks with Mom whereby I can sniff the news to my heart’s content.

I ride in my very own basket with Mom as she does ‘stuff’ on the farm.

And Now!

I can load myself up into the car, get over into the passenger seat, or on Mom’s lap and go for a car ride!

It’s no longer so scary I have to hide my eyes!

YES! I am getting Established!  Four is a perfect age for me!

The Adventures of Boo Berry Betty and TLC Cai-Cai on Friday—-Teasing the Dog, Friday, November 18, 2022

I know!

I know!

The dog is still learning

How to be a

DOG!

But—

As you well know

I am bigger

Taller

And I even weigh

More

Which means

I AM SMARTER!

So—

Just for fun…

I LOVE to tease the dog!

Like  When on a walk

Show her something  Unique

Like the water tube

I run to the tube

Look in the tube

Meow

The dog comes over

Looks into the tube

I encourage the dog

To go INTO the tube

She does!

Gullible, you know

Then she comes out

And asked me:

“What was so neat about that?”

“Nothing,” I reply.  “Nothing.”

Chapter One

“Okay, Dog.  I guess you are here to stay.” TLC sorta kinda growled at Boo Berry. “If you are going to stay you gots to learn some things.”

Boo Berry cocked her head, “Okay.  Like what?”

“Well, for one thing–-HOW TO BE A DOG!” TLC shouted.

“I know how to be a dog.” Boo Berry replied.  “But my world has been rather limited, you know.  From birth actually.  I have always lived in a kennel. From the very beginning.
Then when I left Mom, I went to the kennel at my new home. I only heard other dogs unless a boy dog was put into my kennel with me.  After that I had puppies and then the whole process was repeated.  I was a very good dog and did everything a dog in a kennel does.”

“Well, now you are here. With Mom, Dad, and ME—-it’s time to learn a few other things.

Like ‘doing your business’ outside and not in the house.

It’s okay to RUN fast and turn circles in the air.

And the grass is ever so soft and nice and green.

But most of the all—you need to learn about mice.”

“Mice?  Why?”

“They are yummy to eat.”

“Ummm, I don’t think so.  I only like soft food that comes out of a hard thing.  I don’t like that dry cereal stuff I had to eat in the kennel.”

“Well, your choice.  I like canned food also, and cereal for a treat, but MICE!  Why MICE are the best!”

“And while we are at it—there are birds. SHHHH don’t let Mom know I told you that…she gets very upset if I chase and eat a bird.  But…BIRDS ARE YUMMMMMMMMMMMY!”

“What about those birds that live in that little house Mom goes out to off and on?  You know the one with those BIG BIRDS!  Birds bigger than the both of us.”

“Oh, well…hummm, well, I did try to tackle that white one, but she pecks very hard, and her toenails can dig in DEEP!  My advice is not to eat any of those birds.”  TLC advised.

“Okay.  They don’t look soft and yummy anyway,” replied Boo Berry.  “But I can tell you this.”  Boo Berry paused for effect.

“THEY ARE FUN TO CHASE!!!”  (But only if Mom says I can, which is when she wants to put them up for the night and they won’t go.)

“You have a job!” TLC puzzled.  “WOW! Already.  Well, I have a job eating mice and you have a job rounding up CHICKENS!”

“Hey, Boo Berry!  You do know how to be a dog!” TLC exclaimed
