Simplicity/Borrowed Time—Monday, August 13, 2018

We loaded out a hay customer in 100* weather yesterday.  (37.7778c).  Exhausting all of us.  The last bale placed on the hay trailer at 2:40 p.m.

Since Karen now had the long drive back to her Dairy in Edwards, Colorado, we decided a quick break in town for a small lunch would be just the thing.

Then home again and she was off with her load of hay for her lovely milk cows.

Later that evening, after supper and water changes… Terry said

Let’s give ourselves a break and go for a ride

Off we went into a sherbet-colored sky

Then home again, home again as the air started to cool.

From my world to your heart,

Linda

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO—-When Life Gives You Lemons—-Thursday, August 2, 2018

The smoke from all the fires…fires in Utah, two on the Uncompahgre Plateau (which you can’t see right now because of the smoke), the one at Crawford, over at Rifle, three at Meeker, one in Parachute…

Terry said…”Let’s go for a ride!”

Who could turn THAT down? Not me!

Off we went…traveling here and there, then home again.

Later that evening…much later.  The smoke thinned somewhat and I saw MARS!
Running in to get my camera I was delighted to actually have a photo of that stunning red planet!

Payment for a Hair Cut—-Wednesday, April 6, 2016

Our oldest daughter is a hair dresser by trade, having trained in New York City at the Vidal Sassoon Training Academy/School whatever it is called, plus worked in Cherry Creek and in San Francisco where she taught others her skills.  Today she and Jason live in our other house (YAY) and she works in Grand Junction, Colorado.

GTOThe really nice part of having her close is we get to have our hair ‘done’ right here on the farm.  When Terry went to pay her she said: “Just give me a ride in one of the cars.”

GTO-1So off they went.

A win-win for all of us!

Finally Done—The GTO TADA!

Terry’s been working on this for some time.  The next step is to take it down and give it a bath, but to have it out and running is really cool.

Since our oldest daughter stopped by, she got to have a spin before she went on to work.

Linda

P.S.  This is what he does in his spare time….works on cars!
