The Best Part of One’s Life —- Wednesday, September 23, 2026

(Stolen from the internet)

I think about that sometimes- happiness is hard…sometimes.  You have to train yourself to see happiness, to experience happiness.  To KNOW happy.

Since it’s a little on the hard side (just right now), I don’t walk as far as I used to with Boo Berry, but I do walk out to experience the farm, the sky, and those beautiful floating clouds—the diamonds of the daytime.

We are in September (as you know); actually, the first Day of Autumn has occurred.  So therefore, we are at that point where summer and fall like to see which one gets to HAVE the day.

I’ve taken to feeding the squirrels and ground birds closer to the farmyard.  Up by the Cross-over pipe.  Not too far to walk, but far enough.

Then Linkin sent me a heart! A heart in a tree somewhere around Anchorage.

Wonderful!

Just looking for little nameless acts of love to share with someone you care about is sending a song of you.  A note of joy, belief in happiness, a belief that your song is a gift unto itself.

I pray every blessing will be yours in the coming days,

Linda

A Mixed Blessing—Tuesday, January 5, 2016

It’s snowing here again.  A mixed blessing of sorts.  Storm(This is an old photo…from three weeks ago.)

The snow has warmed up the air a tad.  Always good.

Snowing

The gray light across the landscape has lifted the world from night shadows into a soft filter of sun.

Sunrise-4

The dying night  speaks volumes of what our frozen landscape is made up of—

View-3Vast fields of white and, of course, last years [still] standing corn.

A quote says it all….  “there’s just something beautiful about walking on snow that nobody else has walked on.  It makes you believe you are special”.—Carol Rifka Brunt, Tell the Wolves I’m Home.

So we move forward, you and I…day five of the year 2016. Searching for those little bits of joy that fill our lives with happiness.

Your friend,

Linda
