We hope your day is full of Joy! Excitement!
Delicious food and great friends!
God Bless America!
Word of the day— Ceraunophilia (n): Loving thunder and lightning and finding them intensely beautiful.
From our world to your heart,
Linda
When you are young, life stretches way, way, way out there
Youth understands there are good people who often suffer
and bad people who seem ‘to get it all’
Over time, youth matures and understands that there is no explanation
How Fate is metered out.
Gradually we learn,
The future is an uncertain place—where anything might happen
Always lingering on the edge —waiting for the next moment in time to occur- that is the future.
In old age, we realize we have finally grown to understand
Everything, all things, no exceptions
Pass by quickly.
And each day is not only a gift but a blessing.
And there really isn’t anything more to ask for.
So this day of celebration—remember to celebrate your day-to-day gift of living, in this land we live in,
the land of the free!
Happy 4th of July, My friends!
As Always,
Linda
We made it—
In spite of that relentless gallbladder dis-ease
And the many, many trips to the hospital
Getting rid of the gallbladder and having help from some pretty great neighbors
Our corn is knee-high by the Fourth of July!
May this Day be one of celebration for health, for happiness, and for this United States of American within which we live.
From my world to your heart,
Linda
We happened to be downtown just about sunset one evening, when I noticed the beauty of the American Flag cast against an amazing orange sunset.
There is something so wonderful about really looking at the flag.
(Of which I am sure is true for each and everyone of you…that Flag…that symbol of your country…that wonder proclaiming your history and your future in its fluttering brightness against the sky.)
Just seeing the flag— the joy of the National Anthem was ear music, before my mind even realized.
Happy 4th from me to you!
Linda
