The Adventures of Boomer on Friday— My Monday, and Tuesday, and….

Monday Mom and I went to the Groomer’s Shabby Chic spot.  Where MOM LEFT ME!!! FOR A WHOLE HOUR!!

Then she came back…Boy was I ever glad.  (To tell you a secret I like going to the groomer’s I just don’t like Mom leaving me so I act up until she is out the door.  Once I see the door shut. POOF! I’m a different dog.)

Then Mom was back.

I jumped very readily into the car; I always jump in very readily!

Then Mom and I WENT TO TRACTOR SUPPLY!!!

Where I checked out all the corners (again) and got lots of pets, but no treats this time.

On the way home Mom had to stop at the Vet Supply place.  They have cool dogs there!  We all sniffed butts!  You can learn lots of stuff by smelling a butt, let me tell you. Try it sometime, you’ll see. Er, smell..you’ll know.

The next day Mom, Dad, and I finished up gathering ALL the syphon tubes…there were fifty million trillion more…Dad said he was glad that job was done!

This time I stayed in the truck.  Mom didn’t want me rolling in something since I just got my white parts shiny.

THEN —–THE COWS CAME!

Which means we go out and check on them daily…by that Mom and I go for a walk.  Sometimes Dad goes with us and we go for a ride.  It’s really, really, really cold now…6* F (-14 C) Thursday morning;

this means I have to wear a coat when we go on the four-wheeler the air is just too shivery for me.

Thursday night we (Mom, Dad and I) had to go down and get a cow out of the fenced in area where the equines live.  Mom says: “One thing about cows…they always keep things interesting.”

Works for me…if Mom is interested that means I get to go with her and do even more things than normal!

A smiling beagle,

The Adventures of Boomer on Friday— Helping Mom and Dad

It’s that time of year!!

It that time when Mom and Dad and I help put the farm to bed.

That means we load up all the two million billion trillion syphon tubes and take them back to the barn to store them for the winter.

And the dams…we can’t forget the dams, they go back to the barn also.

This year Dad decided to bring the pick-up and we would load one load at a time until we get everything done.  Usually it’s Mom and I with the trailer and the four-wheeler.  Having Dad and the pick-up goes ever so much faster!!!

THAT IS FOR SURE!

Mom lets me out to run around while they slowly pick up the tubes, then when they look like they are about ready to go to the barn I head over to them and GET a ride home!

Riding home is MUCH better than trotting along behind or getting LEFT behind. (Yes that has happened, but I’m trying really hard to not let it happen again!)

Guess what I saw last night?

I had gone out to check out the yard before I settled in for the night and

There it was….

I didn’t bark, howl or anything…I just slowly, ever so slowly backed up and beat it back to the house.

Sleeping outside in this cold is not an option….or having to have a bath with a NOT VERY HAPPY MOM scrubbing on me late at night is NOT another option!

Anyway…gota run, it’s back to the pick-up and out to the field time.

See ya soon,

Boomer
