We were up this morning at 3 to get our oldest daughter off to Florida for a mini-vacation.
Then at 5:30 we met our second oldest daughter and her husband at Denny’s to take them to breakfast for her 39th birthday! They were heading up to Grand Mesa to snow shoe for the day.
We got home by 7:30 and crashed for an hour…naps sure are nice things.

Well with those kind of hours you might as well have sheep! No, maybe not. Then you’d have to do it every morning! Naps are wonderful things–as good as hot water out of the tap!

Sounds like you deserved the nap! I recognize that airport. The only escalator in town, if I recall. We used to ride it up and down and up and down!

Surprisingly there were lots of people there. Who would have thought for so early in the day.

I totally canNOT believe that (even after a nap) you had the energy left to blog after that day! Wow. What a testimony to the power of a nap.

Airport trips can be like that. We are an hour and a half from the airport. You have to check in 2 or 3 hours ahead so things can get crazy. Then when you come back you get in late.

We are an hour, and they require you to be there 1 hour early. The hurry up and wait syndrome, as our airport is rather small. And yes, she is coming back late on the 14th.

Sounds familiar, Matt goes to Florida on Friday, wish I could go just so that I could be with him. I have visited Florida once before but not really a place that would be my first joice to take a vacation too. Three a.m. oh boy, I am tired just hearing that time!

After an early morning like that it would be either a nap or a tumble into a wall. At least someone is getting away from this bitter cold for a while.

They are. An of course it’s hard to sleep the night before, being ‘afraid’ of not waking up on time.
