Linkedin—Wednesday, September 23, 2014

For some reason I’m getting lots of requests to be part of the Linkedin Professional Network. Please don’t think I’m rude, but at this time in my life I don’t want to join a professional network.  I do appreciate everyone who has sent me an email request; but I graciously decline.

I also have heard from other friends that I have sent out requests for you to join me in Linkedin —please know that I do not have an account with this professional social network.  I’m sorry if you have gotten those messages they were NOT from me.

Storm-moving-in-2Your friend,

Linda

  1. I know what you mean. I am forever getting requests to join it even though I have been retired for a number of years. I also do not want to join it.
My thinking is that if someone wants to know how and what I am doing a personal email is always much appreciated.

  2. I get those things all of the time also —and someone even said that they got one from me. I have never been part of that group–but cannot get off of their mailing list… Don’t know what else to do….

We’ve had an incredible week with family and friends in Texas… SO much fun!!!! Getting home TODAY…

  3. Yes, I have gotten a couple of requests from you to join in the past few weeks. I think Linkedin is a spam machine. Once they hook up two names, they will keep sending the same request to you over and over again. I have yet to find a friend who has actually sent me the request. Linkedin does it on their own. I don’t respond to any of them.

  4. Yes, I got an invite, too, but I denied it! I have received a number of them from different people, but I’m like you, no thanks!! Seems to be an automatic thing from LinkedIn…they go to the trash as my house!

    Blessings!

  6. I saw your name on a request from them, but I KNEW it wasn’t you … I’ve had that request from other people before and e-mailed them (saying what you just said here … not interested right now etc .. ) and then got back an email from them saying they didn’t send it.

I really think the whole Linkd In thing is just a scam to get people’s email addresses. I delete everything from them.
