After a horrible start to our farming season, rain, cold, rain…hard to get the ground worked up…too wet and cold to plant…we were very concerned the corn wasn’t going to make.
But here it is! More than knee-high by the 4th of July!
What a huge relief!
Your friend on a Western Colorado Farm,
Linda
So glad the Corn Gods have smiled on you !!!

Congratulations – you earned it.
That song came true for you.
Terry has a grin that says it all.
Hope you had a great 4th of celebrations.
Cheers
Colin
PS: Wow – this great news was put up early – just after 7.00 pm

My friend is growing 2 corn plants in his backyard. It’s about that same size! I guess that’s a good sign…. Yay!

I had my first ripe tomato by the fourth…but forgot and left it on the vine and it got too waterlogged :-(. Corn looks great!

I often wonder where in the US that saying was applicable? Seems like if corn was only knee high by the 4th of July that there’s no way it would be in before the snow flies. Ah well, I’m so very happy that your corn is growing and healthy. Especially with your extreme heat early in the season!

Waist high and looking determined to grow. Good for you, for Terry and for the corn.

“More than knee high…”
Yep, either that or Hubby has shrunk in the wash.
