Everyday, every four hours the water is checked and possibly changed.
I’m still painting on the house…most of the west side is done, I’m working on the eves. I have part of the south side, but still need to CLIMB up on the roof to do the next level…after than I have the east side (You are looking at the east side) and the north side.
Terry blading the ruts and holes out the driveway
There are always little joys, through out the day.
dark we just keep truck’n on. (At our ages we are very, VERY, thankful we can still truck-on, just as we always have.)
It’s still clouding up and raining here and there and all around. It’s nice because the rain IS keeping the heat at bay.
Your friend on a western Colorado farm,
Linda

Good morning, Linda! Beautifil sunrise to start the morning. Glad the heat is staying down for you guys. That corn is looking great! Keep on truckin…

Your header and pictures are so pretty, Linda! You have lots of little hummers again this year, too! I have not seen any this year, but have also not put out my feeders as I knew I would be gone quite a bit this summer. I know you will be so relieved to get all the house painting done and it will look so nice, too! Just be careful, my friend!
Blessings!

Please be careful on the roof. I get altitude sickness on a stepladder so I don’t even want to think about working on a roof. I know you will have a great feeling of accomplishment.

Maybe you should invite Daughter and SIL over for a visit one weekend and he can paint around the eves. You could offer his very favorite home cooked meal/dessert as payment??

How does the rain play into you and Terry checking the field for water? Are there days when you absolutely do NOT have to check?

When the same old same old looks like that, I’d be OK with it. Pretty awesome.

You are doing really well with the painting job.
The homestead is looking very grand with the gardens
being so beautifully looked after.
Oh please send some warmth Down Under – this Antarctic
freeze that we are having nationwide has seemingly decided
to stay. Thankfully the winds have abated but there is
bugger all warmth in the sun when it deigns to appear.
God only knows what August ( the month of the flu)
will now bring – Bali if the volcanoes cease erupting in that
area may be a holiday option???
Cheers

Isn’t it odd, how when we were young, climbing on the roof was no big deal?
Heck, I used to frame houses all through high school, walking along the 4″ top rails of the second-story walls, 15-20 feet in the air without a thought.
Now, I shudder at the thought of using a step ladder.
Keep on keeping on 🙂

I’ve always been afraid of height…got stuck in a church steeple once…the stairs frightened me.
