“To say it was a beautiful day would not begin to explain it. It was that day when the end of summer intersects perfectly with the start of fall….”—Ann Patchett, Truth and Beauty
A beautiful description, and it fits your images perfectly… I’m home at last, and the contrast between the frosty mountain mornings, and the warm, easy early morning temperatures of the tropics is bliss! No more shivering runs for the bathroom, no piling on hoodies and slippers before venturing out of our warm bed…. Now, if it would only rain…
Your corn is looking great! They’ve harvested some of it here, and stuffed it in long white bags. Very curious.
Glad you had a lovely day. Thank you for all your hard work! God bless. ♥
What a beautiful description of (and photos for) a glorious September day.

I like the quotation. The end of summer is always depressing to me.

Perfect! It is that time of year at the Colorado Farm obviously, from the pictures today and in your previous post! I like early Autumn a lot too.

Time for the third and last cutting of hay, and then to harvest the pinto beans. The corn will be last of course.

Happy Fall! We still have summer here it is miserably hot and humid…at least I don’t have to mow the lawn anymore. I hope you get a good corn crop:)
