I tried to take a photo of our world, but it just looks grey.
We get fog very, very rarely here. It’s not a common occurrence. Momma used to tell my brother and I, that fog was when a cloud got tired and sat down upon the earth to rest.
Although that isn’t the scientific fact, I like it much better.
A cloud resting.
There is a perfect stillness in the heart of a cloud.
Your friend,
Linda

You are such a beautiful person. xo

We get a lot of ground fog in the winter. I will think of it as a cloud resting from now on. I love that, scientific or not.

It is a fun thought.

We get fog occasionally along the river and lower hay meadows. But sometimes it creeps up here. Seems like we get more in the winter—then it freezes in the trees and is stunning!

Thank you, Katie! I truly want to live every moment of every day of the rest of whatever my life is left in Joy. I truly do. 🙂

Nice one… we get low clouds rolling all around the hills from late Nov to Jan/Feb – and very occasionally, say once every three years, they come down to our level – love it!

I like your Mamas version too:) Drive carefully if you go out. Fog was the cause of a school bus drivers death a few weeks ago a semi hit the bus…all the kids are fine:(

Your Mom was a woman after my own heart! I’m sure she knew it wasn’t the scientific explanation, but I too firmly believe that every child needs these kind of magical explanations first!

Your Mama was so right. We’ve had quite a bit of fog this week – fun to see but horrid to drive in!
