“Where are you going?” I asked as Terry headed out the door.
“I need to disk the ends back on all the fields, just in case of fire.” he replied
Then turning back around, with a smile on his face ” But really I’m going to go play in the dirt!”
Yes, I thought to myself, that smile says it all.
With much joy,
Linda

Best keep secret about farming and ranching. Sure they are both hard, long hours, sometimes small compensation, lots of heartbreak….but when all is said and done, they are fun!

My God the season has changed here with incredible speed. The sun doesn’t appear over the
horizon until after 6.00 am and it gets light now just after 5.00 am.
Cheers

You’ve got to love a man who knows himself so well…
It has been raining here for days 🙂 The young cane is jumping out of the ground (and so is our grass and weeds), all the floodways are gurgling, the whistling ducks no longer visit as there’s plenty of food for them everywhere. It’ll be a short, late Wet this year, but at least we’re finally getting something.
