The rain and snow came in yesterday and we loved it
It fell in the mountains and froze up our world
The clouds flew in on very cold wind pushing the moon behind them
Tattered shadows scudded here and there across the darkening sky
Shimmering pale and lovely above the now winter landscape
Winter has finally arrived on our farm in the western part of Colorado.
From my world to your heart,
Linda
Pretty night time skies you captured! Yes, winter. The wind has blown so very hard here – with snow. Power was out last night. Yucky wind. Stay warm!

Power out…never a good thing. I hope your greenhouse made it through okay!

What wonderful photos have been appearing on your beautiful blog, Linda… and also lovely thoughts … the sun on the mountains, the frosty mornings, the stormy skies – beautiful….

I talked to my colleague in the Los Angeles regions just last night like we do almost nightly. He told me to go out and look at the moon. I could not see it from where I was. Rather than take a picture of it to send to me like we so often and too easily do, he described it like we used to do when we were kids back in school. It was nothing special, but it was compelling. I know what the moon looks like over the skyline of downtown Los Angeles, but it was compelling to hear hos someone else described it. I would guess that it is probably the same moon that can be seen over Colorado, but there are so many ways to describe it and get pictures of it.
