After studying all your wonderful answers to my question about ads on my blog
And really thinking about one statement: “It’s not your blog, it’s your reader’s computer. Things such as settings, web browser, unintentionally added adware, cookies from commercial websites they visit (the worst for inserting ads), etc. Everybody’s visit to your blog will be different”.
Then I took a strong look into my very ‘fixed’ income.
I decided to make the ads a distant memory
So if you still see ads on my blog, please let me know. I purchased the expensive site that says there should not be any ads.
Thank you once more for helping me understand what you see when you read my blog.
Your friend on a western Colorado farm,
Linda

I did that with one of my blogs, so I don’t think your reader’s will be plagued with ads anymore.

That was so nice of you, Linda. Hope it wasn’t too expensive. Ads are everywhere – But you are now the calm in the storm of ads. Thank you for being so sweet!

Ads get so terribly annoying; I just wanted the visit here to get gentle and kind. Ads are counter productive.

The only place I ever saw an ad on your blog was if I looked at it on my phone. So I checked my phone. No ads. It’s worked for me!

Chiming in late here, but you may want to look into a different blog platform. A blogger account is free and only has ads if you choose to do so. If you do have adsm they pay you for it (tiny amount, but something). If you post too many pictures, they will eventually make you pay for some storage space, but it is $1-2 a month.
I know changing blog platforms is a big hassle so maybe the fee is worth it, but just know that you do have options:)

Which plan did you go with?

The most expensive. I wanted to be sure there were no ads.

Oh, GOD. Linda. Did you actually cough up $540 for eCommerce???

Premium for $100 for a year. Is that a bad one?

Ok. That is the one I have. If all you were looking to do was to get rid of ads, the Personal Plan for $5 a month would have done the same. But, with the Premium, you get more GB storage. That is a good thing since you are a photographer.
The Blogger Plan for $3 a month does the same but, that plan is for .blog extensions, apparently. I don’t completely understand why this one exists but…whatever.
Any ‘paid for’ plans removes ads. The funny thing is, with the Premium Plan and the two above it (Biz & eCommerce), you can monetize your site which, puts the ads BACK IN but, YOU get paid instead of WP. LOL!

Good! I’m glad I got the right one. I was running out of GB storage and knew I had to do something soon, so now was as good a time as any.

Yeah. This level is 13GB which is a lot. As many pix as I throw up, I’m only using 11%.
You did good. When you mentioned “most expensive”, I nearly choked.

I’m with everyone else. We’d all read your blog even with the ads, but I have to say I’m glad not to see them anymore. I hated that they did that to you as your blog is such a place of peace and tranquility…unless there are spiders involved ;-).
