Vigil at the Edge of the World —- Monday, July 22, 2019

I, like you, believe our Ancestors and beloved friends are close.

Waiting for us to join them.

Death is not an easy thing

Hard on the one who is passing and hard on those left behind.

Yet, I think the thread, which binds us, is a form of magic

A place without pain, a place beyond tears, not like our place of everyday living

I feel so blessed to have had that tiny

fragment from the shadows

An amazing gift from my Dad.

From my world to your heart,

Linda

    • I wonder, so often, how much effort it must take for those we love to reach beyond the veil to touch us in some way. I’m sure it’s an huge effort, one for which I am very grateful

  1. Catching up (seems like a permanent thing for me) and reading backwards; was concerned here until I came to the last sentence…and then of course the beautiful Part One of this story in the earlier post below. This is lovely writing and beautifully illustrated. I think often about things I wish Iā€™d asked my dad and how I would love to have him answer!
